"Precious Moments" Mixed Media Layout and Process VIDEO TUTORIAL with the April Scraps of Elegance Kit

Welcome to my creative space!

Today I'm sharing another project and process video tutorial from the gorgeous April Scraps of Elegance "A Song Of Spring" Kit. I took this sweet photo of our little granddaughter's feet when she was a week old. I did a little Photoshop work by converting the photo to black and white emphasizing these darling feet by leaving them in color. The gorgeous paper and elements in this kit couldn't be more perfect to create a shabby mixed media layout for this precious photo. 

I just adore including handcrafted touches on my projects, so used the leaf image from the 49 and Market Gabi's Texture Stamp Set from the Scraps of Darkenss Store along with the Sage Spectrum Noir Sparkle Marker from the Creativity Add On to create watercolor leaves to tuck into my flower cluster. All the details are in the video.

"Enjoy Every Moment" Mixed Media Art Journal Pages with the April Scraps of Elegance Kit

Welcome to my creative space!

I've created these shabby mixed media art journal pages featuring the Scraps of Elegance April Kit and have a process video tutorial to share filled with the techniques I used. The Creativity Add On is so much fun to work with. The 7gypsies Architextues Book pages are on a ring. I adore that you can mix and match the gorgeous page designs and that they can be easily removed for creating. I also enjoyed using the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers and Prima Color Philosophy Ink (Color Add On) as "watercolors" to paint stamped floral images onto the background with the 49 and Market Enjoy Every Moment Stamp.

In this process video tutorial learn how to:

~ Use ink and marker to watercolor a stamped background image
~ Color modeling paste
~ Create layered texture with stencils and modeling paste
~ Create visual interest with background stamping
~ Dry brush with gesso to highlight texture
~ Paint and ink chipboard for a grungy effect
~ Tear and ink edges
~ Add shadows around torn sentiment pieces with watercolor pencil
~ Add texture with glitter shards and Prills

Rustic Mixed Meda Cards with VIDEO TUTORIAL - Scraps of Elegance November Kit

Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing a rustic mixed media card set with VIDEO TUTORIAL from the November "Tracey's Country Kitchen" Scraps of Elegance kit named for your's truly!! I think it's wonderful how Melinda is creating a kit with each of her designers in mind. 

I wanted to capture the rustic feel of this kit in my card set. The Creativity Add On features Ice Resin products, and I show how to use the Relique Powders to create grungy finishes on the chipboard and corrugated board. I've also added some bling to the borders with the Shattered Mica. Check out my video below for all the details and techniques.
