"Merry Christmas" Slimline Card for Amazing Paper Grace

Welcome to my creative space!

It's that time of the year when many of us are busy creating handcrafted Christmas cards. Today I'm sharing a slimline card created with the fabulous S5-464 Merry Filigree die set from the Holiday Medley Collection. I've used non-traditional colors with a lovely purple patterned paper and metallic teal along with neutral beige behind the sentiment and for the flowers. I've also added metal snowflakes and pinecones to embellish.

Amazing Paper Grace provided the dies used in this project.

Close-ups
The intricate sentiment and scrollwork is die cut from metallic cardstock. It cuts easily with these fabulous dies.

I've used premade flowers from Little Birdie Crafts and 49 & Market, that I dry brushed with white gesso for a snowy, wintry feel. The metal snowflakes and pinecones are colored with alcohol ink and art wax.

One final shot of the card.

Amazing Paper Grace New Release: Sweet Serenade Blog Hop ~ Shabby Boxed Notecard Set

Welcome to my creative space!!

The Sweet Serenade Notecard Collection is simply to extend a sweet thought or warm greeting to let them know you’re thinking of them through a heartwarming notecard. The inspiration behind this collection is the ability to create beautiful notecards. Everything in this collection coordinates together from the card base to the embellishments to the stamps to make wonderful notecard creations! Notecards also make a wonderful gift as a boxed set! Swoon your family and friends with a special handmade gift! Make it seasonal for fall or for the holidays. Maybe a specific style such as soft vintage, clean and simple, or even a mixed media twist!

Today's projects were created with dies provided by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace.

The focal die set I'm using for my notecard set is:

I've also used these stamp sets from the collection:

These gorgeous die sets are also part of the Sweet Serenade Collection:

All flowers are created with the fabulous:

Here are some close-ups of my notecart set
A handmade notecard set is such a wonderful and thoughtful gift. The Scalloped Symphony Notecard Die Set includes all the amazing dies needed to create a beautiful set for someone special in your life, or to create a batch of gorgeous cards to send out for any occasion.

This handcrafted kraft cardstock box is embellished with a medallion cut from 110lb white cardstock using the Scalloped Symphony Notecard Die Set. I added a touch of mixed media by heat embossing the medallion with embossing enamel. This is an easy way to add texture and a bit of shine to any die cut project. The edges of the patterned paper block are inked to add contrast and a shabby/grungy feel.

The flowers and foliage are created with the Petite Floral Potpourri Die Set. The flowers are cut from coordinating patterned paper and the tips of each petal are inked for contrast. A stylus is used to shape the petals and prills are added to the center of each blossom. The foliage is cut from a neutral patterned paper and colored with distress ink.

Card Close-ups:
The card bases are cut with the border die from the Scalloped Symphony Die set which includes a piece to place in the center to score the card so it's easy to fold in just the right place!

The card medallions on each card are heat embossed like the lid of the box. The envelopes are hand crafted from coordinating papers. Each of the sentiments is stamped onto coordinating paper using the stamp sets included in this collection.

I thought you might enjoy seeing a close-up of each card.

"Joy to the World Card" for Amazing Paper Grace with Tutorial Link

 Welcome to my creative space!

Today I'm sharing a festive and beautiful Christmas card featuring the fabulous Amazing Paper Grace Joy Crescent Card Builder Die Set. I've heat embossed the die cuts and created stain glass poinsettias to accent the card.

The Amazing Paper Grace - Creative Encouragement Community Facebook group includes exclusive tutorial content. I'll be creating a mixed media tutorial there on the 13th of each month. My tutorial today includes a detailed step by step photo tutorial teaching you how to create these fabulous Stained Glass Poinsettias. If you're not a part of this fabulous and encouraging group you can join HERE.

Amazing Paper Grace provided the dies used in this project.

Close-ups
The featured elements of this card are the Amazing Paper Grace Joy Crescent Card Builder die cuts. I've embellished with 49 and Market flowers from my stash, pearls, and a jewelry piece.

***Tip*** The Joy to the World sentiment is part of a larger die cut with gorgeous scrollwork around it. I just wanted the sentiment portion, so with a few snips, I cut it away from the scrollwork with scissors.

The snowflakes are die cut from silver glitter paper using the snowflake die from the Celebrate Scrollwork Card Builder set.

The glittery design on the background is unicorn effect paste spread through a snowflake stencil then sprinkled with superfine glitter. Although it doesn't show up will in the photos, the background sparkles beautifully.

One final shot. Be sure to check out the tutorial for these Stained Glass Poinsettias in the Amazing Paper Grace - Creative Encouragement Community Facebook HERE.

Amazing Paper Grace October Die of the Month Blog Hop ~ Flourished Fleurit Card and Pillow Gift Box

Welcome to my creative space!

I'm so excited to be sharing my first project for Amazing Paper Grace with the Flourished Fleurit October Die of the Month.

Elegance is our go-to style at Amazing Paper Grace. We are always on the hunt for those elegant elements that you can add to a card that gives it just the right feel and appeal. This month we're head over heels for a year around a cascade of tendrils that can be snipped here and there to be used for top and bottom card decoration. Say welcome to the Amazing Paper Grace October 2021 Die of the Month - Flourished Fleurit.

The inspiration for Flourished Fleurit comes from looking through our stashes for just the right Rectangle or just the right Square. Guess what - Flourished Fleurit can be both. A snip here or a snip there gives just the right proportion to be a rectangle or a square. We cleverly added in sprigs of flowers so that you can cover your transitions. Hunting for elegant corners for a slimline - look no further. A snip or two has you covered.

Here are some ideas that might inspire you to create:

 1.  Snip between all four corners for slimline decoration
 2.  Snip between the connecting rod and cinch for a square
 3.  Cut as a rectangle for a beautiful A7 layout with many options.

Dies for my creations today were supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

Fall Card

Pillow Box Accessory

There are 9 dies included in the Flourished Fleurit.

I have used this gorgeous Flourished Fleurit Die of the Month set to create a fall card with mixed media accents and a delightful coordinating pillow box.

Can you believe October is already here? Cooler temperatures are arriving and the leaves are starting to turn crimson and yellow, which is my inspiration for the beautiful fall colors used to create this lovely duo. I used the larger flourish on the card as a border to a lovely scene with a sweet bird amid beautiful flowers. The card base is cut from a coordinating text paper on the fold using the large outline die for a gorgeously shaped card. I have to admit, this is the first time I've used this technique. These fabulous dies made it so easy, and I just adore how it turned out.

I enjoy creating handcrafted flowers and used the sweet flower dies included in the set to create small carnations and florals sprigs. The tips of the petals are colored with coordinating ink, then shaped before putting them together with a few stamen in the center of the carnations. I mixed them with some premade flowers from my stash and used the leaf dies to create foliage to tuck into the edges of the clusters.

My designer tip for this project is to use a die cut as a stencil:

I adore using mixed media techniques, so got creative and die cut the center medallion from heavy cardstock (110lb) and used it as a stencil below the top cluster. I used icing paste medium, and while it was still wet, sprinkled on some extra fine glitter for lots of shimmer. Although I used a pre-colored texture paste, any kind of texture paste can be used. If you would like it to be colored, just rub a non-permanent ink pad onto a craft mat and mix a small dollop of paste into the ink to incorporate the color.

For additional texture, I used matte gel medium to adhere some prills and microbeads below the bottom cluster.

Here are some close-ups:
