"Love" Anniversary Card with Handcrafted Flowers for Donna Salazar Designs

Hi my dear friends!! Wishing you a happy Friday. I hope you have some papercrafting plans for this weekend!! I'll be creating with some lovely church gals on Saturday.

Our son and his beautiful wife have their five year wedding anniversary coming up, so I've created a card to celebrate this special event. Joseph loves to fish and Rachel encourages him in his endeavors. When Joseph realized that she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, he planned a boat ride (in his bass boat of course) on the lake under a starlit night sky to ask her to marry him. Then last year they found their dream home on that very lake. So when I found this vintage image of a fun and loving couple on a boat, I knew it would be perfect for this anniversary card.

"Praise the Lord" Mixed Media Scripture Art Journal Page for Donna Salazar Designs

Hello my dear paper crafting friends. I'm up today on the Donna Salazar Designs blog with another of my mixed media Scripture art journal pages. The background is something near and dear to me. My mom's church was cleaning out a storage closets a few years back, and one of the things they were getting rid of were ancient hymn books - soft covered, yellowed with age, the edges bent and crumbling. My mom, knowing how much I treasure vintage book pages, brought a couple of them to me. I took a few of those treasured old pages and tore them into strips and pieces to create the background for this page. Donna's Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Girlie Grunge Art Medium, thinned with water was just perfect to adhere and protect this delicate paper on one of her Denim Art Journal pages.

Of course I added mixed media textures and color, but allowed plenty of those sweet music notes and bits of hymn verses to show through. You can see more photos and learn all the details HERE.

Go Confidently Masculine Mixed Media Card for Donna Salazar Designs

Hello again my sweet crafting friends. It's my turn to be up on the Donna Salazar Designs Blog today with a masculine mixed media card featuring her Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Pigment Powders and Girlie Grunge Art Medium.

Do you ever create a project, and it becomes one of your favorites. That's just how I feel about this card with these gorgeous colors and cool textures.

Remember those epoxy stickers that fit into bottle caps? You know the ones that are so old that they've turned yellow with age. I was ready to throw some out the other day when I thought I'd see if I could alter them using Donna's Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. "The Alamo Archways" Mixed Media Layout for Donna Salazar Designs

Hi my dear crafty friends! I have a new Creative Team project for Donna Salazar Designs with a girlie grunge layout featuring some of her Spellbinder and Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products.

Gary and I recently took a trip to the lovely city of San Antonio, Texas. While there we visited the site of the Alamo filled with rich history. This long archway struck me with it's beauty. I've been working my way through using all 20 of Donna's fabulous new Spellbinder products released last month. I've tucked a die cut created with her Cascading Stars etched die under and next to the photo. So perfect to give a patriotic touch. Of course you know how much I enjoy creating hand crafted flowers, so have also paired Donna's new Big Blossom and Jumbo Rose dies with her classic Bitty Blossoms and Rose creations for these girlie grunge flowers. I've added grungy color by mixing Donna Salazar with Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L Pigment Powders into her Girlie Grunge Art Medium. "Cherish Friend" Card for Donna Salazar

Hello my scrappy and crafty friends. I have some great news for you. Donna Salazar's new Spellbinders products are now available on the Spellbinders website HERE.
