Watercolor Dragonfly Card ~ May Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog Hop!

You should be coming to my blog from Donna Idlet. Then after visiting me, hop over to Bonnie Garby. To start at the beginning of the hop, please head over to Gloria Stengel! You can scroll down to the bottom of this post for a full list of designers participating in this month's blog hop.

Have you ever see a cool technique, buy a collection of products to use and then it sits there collecting dust? Last year I saw some really amazing projects created with Brusho Crystal Colours, so of course I purchased the entire set. I created one card when I first got them, then there they sat. My goal for this month's hoarder's hop was to put those watercolour crystals to good use. This is a different project than I usually create - no dimension and little texture, but I adore the visual effect. I've finished off my card using paper, embossing powder, and a stamp that I've had for several years.

Most of my cards are too thick to mail easily, so it's nice to create one that can simply be addressed, stamped, and sent on its way!!

And here's a close-up so you can see the lovley watercolour effect behind this embossed image. The wings are a mixture of Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals and Brushos, while the background is created with two colors of Brusho Crystals.

I hope you've been inspired to grab a neglected technique product
and put it to good use on an upcoming project!!

Your next stop on the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog Hop is the talented Bonnie Garby. If you have dropped by my blog and would like to start at the beginning, be sure to hop on over to Gloria's blog HERE.
