Everyone is welcome to participate.
All entries for both challenges are due by Wednesday, May 29.
All winners of our challenges, including Layout of the Week, are eligible to receive 10% off any 2012 Kits ~ including Add-ons!
The first project I have to share with you is a layout with a photo of our youngest daughter Maria on stage in her high school production of The Music Man. I created this layout with Amy's wonderful May Sketch using the ScrapThat! Main Kit.
"The Music Man"
MK
This kit is packed with wonderful goodies including these lovely butterflies, which are easily altered with ink and the kit pearls, an entire package of Prima crystal and pearl flourishes, mesh, a length of natural fiber, and the sweet pink mulberry paper roses. I also had fun created the blue embossed lace border and white embossed flowers with the vellum included with the papers. Be sure to check back for my tutorial on how to create these flowers on May 9. I created the rolled kit paper roses with my Donna Salazar Bitty Blossoms Dies and fussy cut doilies and hexagons from the Prima paper. I just added the crochet doily, lace snippets, and a few tiny rhinestones from my stash.

"First Dance"
MK, EAO, FAO
Elizabeth and Andrew dancing at their wedding reception. This was such a happy day, and we are so thrilled to have Andrew in our family. The yellow focal flower and jeweled butterflies are in the EAO kit and the peach focal flower is from the FAO kit. I used more of the handcrafted vellum flowers here as well as a die cut piece for the corner. Both are created with Heartfelt Creations dies. I'll share how to tint the flowers in my May 9 tutorial as well. I added some molding paste with a Prima stencil along with a few flower center gems and the banner twine is White Metallic String from RRR. Don't you just adore the Prima Divine paper clips anchoring the banner from the MK? Using larger alphabets can be a challenge for me, but using the MK letters worked perfectly for the title banner.

"It's All Good"
MK, EAO, FAO
Another happy photo of Elizabeth and Andrew from their engagement photos. The sentiment on this paper is just perfect for the title of this page, "It's All Good"! I used the Prima BAP April sketch. This photo was taken outdoors with the water dripping over the stone wall behind them, so I had fun going a little grungy on this page with mist and splatter. I love the way the mist dripped off the wood grain molding paste. The fibers under the cluster were pulled from the natural fiber ribbon in the MK. You will get either a roll of Prima Divine Washi or Fabric tape in your EAO kit. I had some of the Fabric tape in my stash, so used a little of each. I cut up the MK transparency overlay to use in the corners. I love the organic feel of the Prima vine from the FAO kit and the way it goes with the misted drips!! The Prima tear drop in the cluster is from my stash.
