Inspiring photo

Justin is the son of dear friends of ours.  He went to be with our Lord this summer at the age of ten.  For the past 5 years he battled with a form of epilepsy that did not respond to treatment.  Despite the challenges he faced, Justin loved life.  This photo, to me, captures his spirit and enthusiasm for life and inspired me to hold Memories of Justin.  Clicking on the photo will enlarge it if you would like to see some of the details more closely.

I have entered this layout in the "Color Me Happy" challenge over at  ScrapFIT.  The challenge was to use lime green, purple, orange, and black using cardstock for one of the colors.

The title outline was cut from black cardstock and the inside from purple patterned paper that I added Stickles to.

I made the flower from dark purple and black dyed burlap that I stiffened with Mod Podge, then cut and again added a bit of Stickles to the edges and a rhinestone center.   The rhinestone swirls are a larger Zva swirl I cut apart.

The letters for Justin's name are made from cardstock, Perfect Pearls, ultra thick embossing enamel (UTEE) and stickles.
