Tags details for ScrapThat! and Really Reasonable Ribbon

It's always nice to have some tags on hand so I created two with the August ScrapThat! Kit, adding some wonderful ribbons from Bonnie's Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. This is the final kit from ScrapThat! I'll miss working with these gorgeous kits each month.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Products:

Tips and Techniques:

Colored Seam Binding ~ I colored White Seam Binding with several colors of distress inks and dried with my heat tool while scrunched up to get this lovely wrinkled and splotchy ribbon. I inked the MK flower to place in the center of the bow. Really Reasonable Ribbon is now selling Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. Be sure to check out the great selection here

Stamping ~ I applied this lovely sentiment with Donna Salazar's Clearsnap Mix'd Media Inx. The corner flourishes were stamped with Distress Ink.

The gorgeous lace is from the August ScrapThat! Main Kit.

Ribbon Ties ~ Here's more of the dyed Seam Binding from RRR as well as some White Wrinkled Ribbon that I dyed purple, and Cream Mesh Ribbon. I pulled them through the top of the tags and tied with a strand from the Cream Mesh Ribbon. I removed the clear threads in the Cream Mesh Ribbon releasing the fun wispy strands.

Crackled Butterflies ~ These lovely Maya Road Butterflies came in the August ScrapThat! kit. I painted the kraft butterflies with the Moonlight Smooch Accents also included in the kit. When dry, I spread Ranger Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint and allowed to dry overnight to develop nice cracks. With my finger I applied coordinating distress inks to add color and make the crackle more prominent. I added a kit flower to the center of each butterfly which I had either inked or dry brushed with Moonlight Smooch Accents.

Glittered Chipboard ~ I cut the bird off of the EAO flourish and painted the flourish with more of the Moonlight Smooch Accents. When dry I spread on Ranger Ice Stickles and kit pearls which I painted and inked.

Texture ~ I applied molding paste over some small mesh I have in my stash and when dry dabbed with ink.

I hope you have been inspired to grab your Really Reasonable Ribbon and created some beautiful tags!
